Lorena Valeri (Naturopath and Energy Healer)
What is a Naturopath?
A Naturopath is a qualified health practitioner who addresses ill health from a holistic perspective.
What does that mean? We look at an overview of the entire person: your medications, allergies, medical history, family medical history, your symptoms, your emotional and mental health and wellbeing, your diet, your workplace and possible chemical exposures, your stress levels, your sleep pattern and more.
Naturopath’s use Plant based Western Herbal Medicine, Vitamins, Minerals, Nutrients such as Amino Acids and Supplements to address health concerns. Bach Flowers, Bush Flower Essences, and other modalities may also be used to address emotional wellbeing.
In essence a naturopath’s aim is to treat the root cause of any ailment, while providing some symptomatic relief.
We also work with you to provide dietary and lifestyle tweaks in order to make a healing solution practical, relevant, and viable for you. Each treatment is tailored specifically to your individual needs at the time of consultation and is aimed at supporting your body in healing itself.
The first consultation as you may imagine is very in-depth and detailed, generally 1:00-1:30 hours.
This is a time where we listen to your concerns, and any issues you may have encountered as well as your symptomology, and where we endeavour to answer any questions you may have. It also allows the naturopath to get a good overall picture and connect the dots to what is going on in your body.
The follow up consultation/s (after 4 weeks) is generally 30min in length, and this is where any questions or concerns are brought up, and you can discuss the success of the treatment protocol.
This is also where tweaks are made to the formula and the diet and lifestyle recommendations if required. You may need further follow up consultations, as some health issues are treated quickly, and some are a little slower, depending on the health concern and the individual.
